7755 metering IC

I've been dwindling with my own power monitor designs for a few months but due to a lack of progress I'm super excited to have found this project. For my own design, I decided to a 7755 energy metering IC which does power calculations in hardware.

Would it make sense to use this for the emon system? To scale up to 12 inputs, it might make sense to offload some processing to hardware. What do you think?

Interesting, do they do a 3.3v one?
