GLCD not working with USB plug adaptor
The problem is that the screen text moves or over writes in the wrong place and then the screen goes blank. ( I have tried different sketches with the same results. Flashing LEDS are working, I don’t think its locked up on the software side)
But when running it from a pc or laptop, its fine. I have tried 5 different usb adaptors 1 with 1amp output, even plugged it in to the TV, and within 5mins it’s falling over.
Iit’s ver1.3.
Any ideas, before is start pulling it apart.
Re: GLCD not working with USB plug adaptor
It does indeed sound like a supply problem.
1.You did reverse the two capacitors in the voltage pump?
2. Is it a common/earth/grounding problem - have you got a bad or missing connection, or a duplicated one that's injecting noise?
3. Are your USB plug adapter 5 V supplies clean or noisy? (There's more about that somewhere on this site).
4. Have you read this: http://openenergymonitor.org/emon/node/679
