A general question: The planned-to-be-setup of EmonCMS is to have it fed by EmonTX and then EmonBase.
Here in Germany almost every PV plant has already an existing data logger, most times from the vendor of the inverters. For example here at my site we have KACO inverters and an KACO weblog pro that is able to monitor the site and send specific data via email or ftp. It is able to send the status all 5 minutes with all kinds of data like temperatur, current watt output and so on
Example output:
12:00:00;900;4;;;;20049;;;19610;44;4945;516.5;9.39;4856;546.3;14.10;7703;540.0;13.87;7489;235.9;27.76;;235.7;27.98;;233.7;27.81;;1.000;;75;75;100.0;;;
Would it be possible to import this data in EmonCMS without installing hardware like EmonTX?
Re: Use existing data loggers to feed server
I think node-RED could be a solution for you! www.nodered.org
