absolute feeds

I am doing some calcs on inputs that result in a negative number. ie calculating exported energy. Is it possible to convert this into a positive for data collection and display puposes? A display of total or daily export should read as positive IMO.

If it is always negative why not multiply it by -1?

Multiply by -1

Or is the question a little deeper than that?
