I want to log/graph/visulalise when I am esporting energy.

A beginner to this. i have basic input feeds and visualizations working from my 4 ct sensors. One of these is main in. I would like to log etc when the mains in is a negative value ie when I am exporting energy. Can I do this as well as logging mains in normally

Yes. Try adding the following processes to your 'mains in' input.

Log to feed  (normal mains feed)
Allow negative (stops positive values from being logged)
Log to feed (exporting energy feed)

For further reading on processes, see - http://emoncms.org/site/docs/inputprocessing

Thanks Paul. I was using allow neg but did not add another log to feed. Guess input processing didn't explain quite enogh for me. Its perfectly obvious now!

So I now have this working kind of as the sunny weather today created some export however.

Bearing in mind that this data comes from the same input why does the normal mains feed show a max export of @2kw whilst the export feed shows a max of @3.6kw?

I have also added and accumulate input and logged it to feed in order to give cumulative total export but I am not getting any data. I obviously have some more to learn re inputs!

Can anybody help?

So actually this only happens when I zoom in on the data. So when I first look with no zoom the export graph and the mains in graph correlate at a max of 2kw but then as I zoom in on the export graph the max slowly increases to 3.6kw whichis more than my pv system can produce.

Log to feed  (normal mains feed)
Allow negative (stops positive values from being logged)
Log to feed (exporting energy feed)
Power to kWh/d  (exported power per day)

...why does the normal mains feed show a max export of @2kw whilst the export feed shows a max of @3.6kw?

Can you post some screenshots? I can't see how the two feed values can differ when they originate from the same input..

I will get screenshots tomorrow. I get the power to KWh/d but I want to get a total over say a year. Can I use the accumulate function for this?
