HDD setup corrupted

Hi,

 

I have the setup that follows this tutorial: http://emoncms.org/site/docs/raspberrypihdd

I got 2 time some boot issue after a shutdown and used to reflash the SD card with the boot.img. This time it doesn't work, and my PI has just the red power led activated. I guess there is now an issue on the external HDD.

Is there something I can test?

Yes,

 

  1. Rule out that it isn't your PI or cables that are not connected or damaged.
  2. Try booting a other image by reflashing the SD-card (or other card) with a linux image.

    1. gparted-live image. you can check your HDD with this bootable linux image (it has a simple GUI)
  3. HDD OK? still no boot? reflash the sd-card again ....

My SD card doesn't seem to be corrupted (no error with surface test, even with a dedicated tool), yet, by changing the SD card it works now...
