New feeds doesn't show in graph

Hello!

I've added new feeds on emoncms.org yesterday, everything looks ok, except showing the values of the new feeds in graphs.

One of the inputs is stored directly into a feed, the second one is multiplied first and then stored.

When I show the actual values in a dashboard they seem to be ok, but any graph doesn't work, also in multigraph (I can only see the legend for it, but no values).

Any ideas?

For the specialists: inputs: 129449 and 129450, feeds: 30209, 30217

Re: New feeds doesn't show in graph

Hi,

I am encountering the same issue on EmonCMS.org and also on my local EMonCms server  (V7).

All my feeds appear and their values are changing as expected in the feed page. But I can't visualize some of them (approximatly half). Neither in raw data or in multigraph. I created all of them in the same way. The datatype is REAL TIME and the engine is TIMESTORE.

To be able to visualize those feeds, I have to delete create them again. Sometimes it works.

Eric

I can see the problem on emoncms.org, it seems that timestore does not always respond and so the feed doesn't get created or the data doesn't always show.

I think I can improve the feed creation function to check that the feed did actually get created successfully, I will look into it.

Don't know if it may help you but note that it seems to work better on my local EmonCMS.

I've added an extra layer of checking to emoncms.org and also written the get_feed_data function natively in php rather than going through timestore as there seems to be a problem with timestore not responding to every request, its not clear what the problem is yet, I'm still investigating.

Re: New feeds doesn't show in graph

Hi Tristan,

It's seems to work fine now ! I can create several timestore feeds in one shot and all of them can be displayed without any problem. I haven't anymore problems when loading multigraph. As you suggested here, these two issues were probably related.

Great !
