Hi,
I received my EmonTH yesterday and got the external temperature sensor up and running (using raspberry pi as base station). I didn't have a soldering iron to hand for the DS18B20 so just used the external sensor. This all worked fine and I was getting accurate readings at emoncms.
This morning I soldered in the DS18B20 and fired up the unit. Only one reading was coming through on emoncms. I then removed the external sensor and readings where still coming through, the DS18B20 is working fine. Adding the external back in I'm still only getting 1 reading. Is there a factory reset on the EmonTH? Unfortuantely I don't have a UART to hand (just ordered one).
I have reset the base station as well.
Does the emonTH fix it's settings after first launch or after every time the batteries are removed?
Thanks,
Scott
Re: emonTH Adding Sensor after first boot
You are using the multiple temperature sensors sketch "emonTH_DHT22_dual_DS18B20.ino"? It should find all the sensors, but you can enter the correct addresses for both the internal and external sensors, if you know them. What error message does it display?
If you have not loaded the multiple sensors sketch, it's possible that you have an early sketch that I believe only reads one temperature sensor.
Re: emonTH Adding Sensor after first boot
Robert,
Thanks for the reply. I bought the prebuilt system so haven't loaded any sketches on. I've got a USB->UART on order so I'll try the new sketch when that arrives.
