Is anyone else failing to get notification emails from this forum? I don't think I've every received a notification email for a forum thread which has been updated (instead I have to manually check the forum).
I've checked the obvious things:
- Gmail's spam folder.
- I've check that I signed up to the forum with the correct email address
- I have played with several "subscription settings" (I've selected "Subscribe to this page" and "To forum topic content")
- I've checked that Drupal thinks I am supposed to be receiving notifications in My Account > Subscriptions > Pages/Threads
I have received emails for "Account details" (when I first signed up) and I received an email notification of a PM. It's just forum notification emails which have never worked for me.

I find they often come through in a batch, several days worth at a time.
Something here is very broken.

To whoever administers this forum: it might be worth taking a look at the Drupal Comment Notify module. It's a "lightweight tool to send notification e-mails to visitors about new, published comments on pages where they have commented. Comment Notify works for both registered and anonymous users." I'm not sure which of the many Drupal notification systems you're currently using but Comment Notify is especially nice because it just implements the minimal functionality necessary to notify people about comments. Hence it's easy to administer (for both the site admin and for users. No more confusing lists of check-boxes) and, in my limited experience with it, very reliable.

I reliably receive an email whenever a PM is sent to me, but thankfully not when forum threads are added to. Otherwise my Inbox would be in an even worse state than it already is!

Yes, maybe it is a blessing in disguise!
I would quite like (optional) email notifications to forum threads though.

They are optional. They just don't work reliably.
