I am in the process of having a new Samsung Air Source Heat Pump installed at my home and want to monitor it.
I have bought all the bits and need to put them together. I'm using a RaspberryPi for added geek factor ;-)
Just not sure where best to put the temperature sensors? Anyone else monitoring ASHP? I have read the blog post about GSHP and I guess its similar except the ASHP is one self contained unit so I'm not sure I'll be able to get all the different measurements.
Thanks
Jon
Re: Monitoring an Air Source Heat Pump
Air to air or air to water ? I have both.
If air to air, rpm needs to be monitored too for output. Sensor placement less critical.
If air to water, sensors where no radiation and inside insulation. Flow measurement needed if not constant.
Re: Monitoring an Air Source Heat Pump
Its a 16kw Samsung Air to Water
Re: Monitoring an Air Source Heat Pump
You need one like these: http://www.zaehleronlineshop.de/Gebrauchte-Waermezaehler and then use the pulse sensor output or connect serial to pulse sensor your own pulse sensor from arduino board (disassembling a cheap meter would be easiest to get a water flow pulse). Temperature sensors should be just before and after indoor heatexhanger.
