Can I use the emonTH with a relay module to trigger a siren when it reaches a certain temperature?
Thanks

Re: emonTH with relay module
Yes, fairly easily if you're not using the DS18B20, otherwise it could be tricky. But don't expect the batteries to last for very long (depending on the current your siren takes, and you'll need to add a driver if it exceeds the RFu328 output current rating); you'll obviously need to change the sketch too.

It is possible to solder in a usb socket on the PCB for powered operation, see the footprint in the board screenshot here: https://github.com/openenergymonitor/Hardware/tree/master/emonTH

Doh. I missed that - and it's one of the few times I've looked at the hardware and not the diagrams! Trystan had half hidden it under the battery holder. Also, the terminal block is available and will be needed to access the output anyway.
