Re: Using units in UK any issues
Well, I'm not sure how to put this, the units sold through the shop are designed and the kits assembled in Wales, and I think that is still part of the UK. All the research and reports that I've written have been done in England, and that's part of the UK too. It seems likely that I'll be building a copy of this soon. It was designed and built on Merseyside but the copy is destined for Scotland, and I've no doubt it will work quite happily there.

Hi Robert
Thanks for the reply.
I ment issues with Frewuenceys used i.e 433MHz and 866MHz. 433Mhz. The kits state diferent frequences?.As I am new to the tecnologies I need to order the correct components.

Ah, now I know the real question
Frequencies: see http://shop.openenergymonitor.com/transmitters/ You could do worse than buy the complete kits from the shop. You need to be able to do fairly neat soldering because there isn't a lot of space (e.g. the emonTx PCB is 64 x 57mm - zoom the pictures to that size and you'll appreciate what I mean.
All the example software on this site is for 50 Hz mains.
Re: Using units in UK any issues
I think the real question is (and I was wondering this too):
Is it ok to use the 868MHz modules in the UK? These are marketed as 'Europe Only'. Is the UK part of Europe as regards the use of 868Mhz ?
Re: Using units in UK any issues
Yes, the UK is part of Europe. 868MHz can be legally used throughout the UK.
