Re: Faulty Programmer sold on EBay
I bought a simular item from the uk on Ebay that I couldent get to work but the guy came back to me saying to connect a switch for reset then when up loading hold reset until loading appears on the screen. That works fine but here it seems as though RX and TX are the wrong way around.
Re: Faulty Programmer sold on EBay
yeah I also connected the reset from the nanodeRF (emonbase) to the RST pins from the programmer, that works like an manual reset if you hold it exactlong enough after pushing the upload buton on arduinoIDE.. ..but it's not so handy like the use of the DTR witch auto-reset your arduinoboard.
for the record..this is the photo that explains it:).
Re: Faulty Programmer sold on EBay
Yes, I have bought three from Mr Chinaman not the same as that one above, they have TX & RX the wrong way around; but it's no problem as they seem to work ok when connected.
Re: Faulty Programmer sold on EBay
Yes, but it is a serious problem if you don't know that the terminations are wrongly described! Ask Alco.
Re: Faulty Programmer sold on EBay
Well on mine Robert its the RX and TX thats the wrong way as its only five pin. You soon find out when you don't read anything on the serial data screen and you can't upload.
