I found a typo in the "How good is your multimeter?" article, but I cannot edit it (it's an image).
In the "Measuring 3.3 V d.c." section, in the "Gossen Metrawatt M249A" column, in the "Error digits" row it says:
0.00015
, but instead should be:
0.0015
if 15 error digits in a 5.9999 V d.c. range are wanted.
Thus, the subsequent calculations are also wrong, and should be changed from:
- value at upper % 3.30066
-
Error digits
0.00015 -
final reading
3.30081 -
Error %
0.025%
to:
- value at upper % 3.30066
- Error digits 0.0015
- final reading 3.3022
- Error % 0.067%
Re: typo in "How good is your multimeter?" article
Well spotted! It's been corrected.
