Hi all,
to get emoncms working on Nginx I need logging, but after following these steps the file's stays empty
- sudo pear channel-discover pear.apache.org/log4php
- sudo pear install log4php/Apache_log4php
- changed line 102 in settings.php to the location of my emoncms installation
- touched emoncms.log chown'd to the webserver user and chmoded to 660
But there's still no logging...

Is this not tied in with the other problem you reported eMonCMS with nGinX?

Hi Robert,
it's on the same machine, but not really tied as I solved it last night... But I also tried to setup emonCMS on a FreeBSD machine and would still like to have it up and running there!
So any help is still very much appreciated....

Which version are you using?
Have you checked all the steps in http://emoncms.org/site/docs/installlinux and http://emoncms.org/site/docs/sharedlinuxhosting for all the components required and anything else there that you might have missed?

I'm on 8.2.6 from git and have checked both doc's, the system is generally running fine. I've imported value's from an old system and using that data to learn...
There are some glitches which might be bugs, I'll report them one at a time... But the log file is still empty!

I have the same issue on a raspberry+HDD v8.2.6 (HDD image updated). I followed the four steps describe in your first post. But the emoncms.log stay empty even if I had some errors.
When I checked in the "Admin" tab I can see "LOG4PHP INSTALLED: yes". Probably there is another parameter or step to get it work.
