Waterproof DS18B20 3.5mm jack soldering

Hey guy,

I've just bought and received one of the Waterproof DS18B20 temp sensors (http://shop.openenergymonitor.com/waterproof-ds18b20-temperature-sensing-kit/) but i'm just wondering which color cable to solder to which part of the 3.5mm jack.

Thanks

Re: Waterproof DS18B20 3.5mm jack soldering

We have a diagram here: http://openenergymonitor.org/emon/emontx/reference%20

We could really do with a nice pictorial step-by-step guide like we have for assembling the emonTx. It would be great if you could take a few photos of the assembly and I'll make one!

Good luck.

Re: Waterproof DS18B20 3.5mm jack soldering

but just with the waterproof sensor, its already been soldered at the sensor point and its already in its heat-shrink cover so I cant see which pin on the DS18B20 is connected to which color cable in the wire.

So there are 3 colors a red one, white one and black one. I assumed ground is black, Vcc is red and data is white, is this right?

The only reason i ask is since the temp sensor scanner sketch doesnt pick it up :(

Also I would be more than happy to post the pics once im done!

Thanks

Yes that's right.

Red - Vcc

Black - GND

White - Data
