I've set up a clean new debian machine with emoncms running on it. I also have installed event module from git. So far everything works fine, data are shown up including visualization, except event module. In the top menu of emoncms "extra" menu will appear and when I select "event" it says "You don't have permission to access /emoncms/event/ on this server."
In the apache error.log file I see the following entry:
[client 192.168.1.100] Directory index forbidden by options directive: /var/www/emoncms/event/, referer http://192.168.1.126/emoncms/dashboard/view?id$iew?id=1
I'm not a linux specialist nor Apache! I can't figure out what to do.
Can you help me?
Re: Event Module on Debian Server - no permission error
I thought that the Modules went in a directory called Modules?
As per the instructions here: http://emoncms.org/site/docs/installlinux
Have you also gone to your emoncms installation and clicked on Admin -> Update & Check
Otherwise have you checked the permissions and ownership of that directory?
Has it got the same permission and owner as the emoncms directory?
Re: Event Module on Debian Server - no permission error
thanks tkmoose
seems to work. My mistake I had previously installed event directory in emoncms not in Modules. I installed it then under Modules but I didn't deleted the first event directory!
Many Thanks!
