Hi all,
Just built the EmonTX, all seems to have gone fine with that so I thought i'd squirt some digits into it.
However I can't seem to get the Arduino IDE to recognise the FTDI lead, I assumed it would show as a serial port but the only options i have are bluetooth and for some reason it seems to offer an iPhone option.
The FTDI has blue LED lit.
Any ideas where i'm going wrong?
Andy.
Re: EmonTX and FTDI
I've only used the adapter on Linux (Ubuntu), no dirvers are required. I know the adapter does work with windoes and Mac, I think he driver needs to be installed: http://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/Pages/USBtoUARTBridgeVCPDrivers.aspx
Re: EmonTX and FTDI
Can anyone offer first hand experience using the CP2102 Nanode FTDI programming adapter with windows?
If your still having trouble try posting here: http://groups.google.com/group/nanode-users.
Re: EmonTX and FTDI
Excellent, the driver worked (im on a mac)
I initially didnt think it was a driver issue as the mac seemed to see the FTDI ok, but obviously not well enough to work with the IDE.
All sorted now! I can crack on and get the other modules built.
Thanks chaps.
Andy.
Re: EmonTX and FTDI
Ah great, apologies for assuming windows!
