Building an enclosure
If you would like to make similar styled casing this is a very brief overview of how to do it:
Materials
- 8mm thick Plywood
- 2mm thick polypropylene plastic sheet.
- Mini screws, bolts, nuts...
Step one - Cut strips of plywood for the sides.
Step two - Glue the sides together into a rectangle:
By using two clamps one at each end you can hold the rectangle together as the glue dries. Be sure to check the rectangle will sit flat.
Step three - Cut out the holes for the various cables.
I used a drill to start the hole and then a fretsaw to cut out the rest.
Step four - Cut out the top and bottom polypropylene sheet.
Attach the bottom to the plywood rectangle.
Have a look at this picture for an example of how using screws to attach.
Step five - component mounts.
These act as spacer's for the arduino and circuits to sit on. Reduces chance of putting strain on the circuits as their fixed down.
Component mounts placed in enclosure:
The block in the far left is used to make it easier to locate the usb socket when you push the USB stick through the slot.
Step six - fill the enclosure with the electronics...

Step seven - lid on, there we go, a work of art! ;)
