new emon tx v3 not working properly.

I have 2 brand new emon tx v3. Supplied fully built. set up with one only to start with. Updating emoncms only very infrequently at varying time intervals. Having looked at Pi it seems the Tx not sending data very often so fault lies with tx. Swapped txs over and now working perfectly. What is next step to take with dodgy tx?????
