Re: can EmonCMS send command back to Gateway
The OEM_gateway can do this through a listener socket. See Jerome's latest post explaining on this thread: http://openenergymonitor.org/emon/node/3693
Re: can EmonCMS send command back to Gateway
Not exactly.
There is a repeater that transmits data received on a socket to the other nodes via the RFM2Pi module.
But
- there is no module in emoncms to write to the socket (and there is no authentication so it is not advised to use this feature on a public network)
- this allows to send data to the other nodes, but there is currently no mean to start/stop the gateway (or change any other parameter). The use case is to command some other node, for instance to switch on/off a boiler, or some lights. It can also be used to reprogram the RFM2 (nodeID, freq,...).
I don't think there is anything currently that answers ulzii's request.

Thanks Jérôme, How could be abstraction about server like EmonCMS and with control back nodes anyway. Is there any idea? www.iosa.mn is our site, but metering project not updated.
