Currently I am using an Air Quality Egg for outdoor temperature sensing, but I want to deploy another system and it needs to measure outdoor temperature.
How are people doing this? Indoors emonTH with an external DS18B20? Put an emonTH in another case?
Re: Outdoor temperature sensing
The most resilient way I've found is to mount the sensor board emonTX/emonTH in a waterproof 'electricians' wiring box (Toolstation or Screwfix) and attach an encapsulated DS18B20 sensor, sealing the exit hole with silicone.
I built mine using just the emonTX pcb as you would not need the full functionality of a fully built emonTX.
Mine's stood outside in the wind & rain for the past 6 months and has worked flawlessly.

Re: Outdoor temperature sensing
Thanks, that was pretty much the route I was going down. I'd like to try to find a smaller waterproof case - even the smallest wiring boxes are quite chunky!
Re: Outdoor temperature sensing
I used 'schneider' boxes from Screwfix, they are IP55 rated which suffice in all but extreme conditions. Not sure what size I used, but they do a wide range.
