Dear All, please if anyone can answer this question.
I found about this fascinating project in looking for devices to answer my question.
So far I am planning to build one of this systems and solve the problem by diverting surplus energy into something usable , not shure what ....
Thank you all for this clever design and openly available software and hardware circuits
Anyhow , I am still wondering if there is any other means to avoid the electricity company to charge me for power I obtained with my solar panels. I have made tests and the meter (electronic one ) continues to add to the bill although I am generating 300 watts and i have 0 ( cero ) consumption for testing.
Thank you very much

Re: How to block surplus energy generated ,to go out to the home meter ? ( meter is adding PV energy )
Both of these systems:
Diverting surplus PV Power: MK2
Diverting surplus PV Power: PLL
will do what you want, but only of course if the place where you send the surplus energy is capable of accepting it.
The easiest place to send the energy is to a water heater, but you can use any load you wish provided that it will accept short bursts of energy. Therefore charging batteries may not be successful.
You should ask your energy company if it is correct that you are being charged for energy you export. Some electricity meters are set up so that energy is charged whether it is imported or exported, simply because they do not expect you to export. If this is the case, you should check what your contract and your country's rules say, and if it is wrong, you should complain and ask for your money back.
But I believe some countries really do charge if you export energy.
Re: How to block surplus energy generated ,to go out to the home meter ? ( meter is adding PV energy )
Thank you very much for your answer Robert.
I am aming at emonTx with PLL , I have already downloaded the firmware and will have a close look to it in Arduino IDE.
I should ask the questions allright, I am pretty shure they are charging ( meter continues to add ) ,.....
I am "just an mechanical with electric inclinations"...... hobby ) and was wondering if there exists something more straightforward like and diode that works in AC the same as in DC ,,,,,, current flow in only one direction.....
I am starting to understand the phase ( voltage/current ) concept and how you identify when things are "going out" or "coming in "... i.e. energy......
I am afraid there is no easy "one element" solution to this. Already ordered some parts to make an Triac "dumper" controlled by PIC microcontroller and PWM...... I guess it will be a 200 W light bulb for testing
Greetings and best wishes for 2014

Francisco, you may find some of the sketches near the top of this page to be useful. They will allow you to check that your hardware is working correctly. Then you can run whichever PV Router you wish; they both use the same hardware.
Re: How to block surplus energy generated ,to go out to the home meter ? ( meter is adding PV energy )
Dear all,
I ordered emonTx + emonGLCD from he shop , they are both on its way..
In the meantime, thanks to the complete information available , I have made both hardware circuits in a simulator and have been testing the sketches.
Apart from RF and Temperature sensor systems , this has given me the chance to fully understand how everything works.
The "Building blocks" page is a charm, it lets you understand every bit of code in the sketches.
Congratulations !! Thank you very much again.
As a plus, I want to share the data of my "tricky" home meter , it is an DDS994 Electronic Type, China made.
The plate states " 1600 imp/Kwhr " which i have interpreted as " 1600 impulses each Kwhr ". On using lap timer and looking at the led coming on and off I have checked this to be correct ( comparing with ampere reading of my clamp meter at the feed wire ). i.e. 1600/1000/60*200 = 5.33 pulses/min for a 200 watt consumption approximatley. - 1 led pulse every 11 seg.... app.
