SOLVED: GLCD display stops working after a short period

Hello all! I've successfully built an emonGLCD unit (V1.5), but the display stops working after a few seconds (maybe up to a minute?) Everything else seems to be working fine from the debug readout.

All the voltages on the GLCD pins seem to be roughly right according to this post: http://openenergymonitor.org/emon/node/333 although most are perhaps 10% lower. However, when the display stops working after a few moments the voltage on pins 1-5 drops off quite a lot. Any ideas where I should look to debug this?

Thanks a lot!

Re: SOLVED: GLCD display stops working after a short period

UPDATE: The voltages on pins 5,4,3,2,1 are measured at 1.17, 2.35, 4.5, 7.34 and 8.09V respectively. So it seems that the capacitors to some kind of voltage multiplication properly.

However, they then drop down to 0.82, 1.64, 3.93, 4.87, 5.67V respectively and at that point the display packs up. Eventually all of the drop to 0V.

My electronics isn't good enough to know what causes the voltage on pin 5 to be as it is. Does anyone know where this voltage comes from?

Thanks!

Mike

Oops. Have re-soldered GLCD and capacitors and now seems to be working well!
