Hi Just thought I'd post after having my energy monitor running just over a day, really interesting looking at the peaks and shapes of the energy used (as well as being able to wind my wife up by telling her i know she had a cup of coffe at 3pm etc!)
one thing i noticed when we were alseep was the compressor of the fridge coming on and off, i turned the fridge dial down just a little and I cant notice any difference inside (i will get a thermomitor in there soon), but I can see an increased spacing on the compressor turning on and off, I know its not huge amounts of energy but this all has too help and certainly it feels good to cut down without loosing out on anything.
Would be interested to hear if anyone elese has done this and other things post install of the monitor?

...Argue more with the wife!!!
Usually it starts something like 'Why is the washer running, it's only 9am and there's no solar power yet??'
Another good icebreaker is 'The monitor's showing 200Watts, Hmm, have you left a light on upstairs??'
I usually get the same response to the questions now!
