Built GLCD 433Mhz, Display showing Grains

Followed step by step guide to build GLCD.

Used Test Sketch to check the Connections. Sketch printed temp, light on the console.

However the display on GLCD does not show any text. It just shows grains.

What can be wrong? Pls advise...

Are you at Step 21 in the Build Guide, or have you soldered the display?

I have not seen that, except for a fraction of a second at power-on. I think there are two areas you must check:

1. that there are no solder bridges anywhere on the p.c.b, and that all the joints are good,

2. that you have the correct libraries for the GLCD installed, and the files are not damaged. There is a list in the file "readme.md" on the Github page https://github.com/openenergymonitor/emonGLCD
