Installing the system in cubieboard

Friends,
I intend to install the system on a board called cubieboard 2. I imagine it will be all quiet, because the configuration is better than the Raspberry Pi.
What would be the best version of linux to use?
You know what the requirements? I will install on linux cubian already have the GPIO configured.

Cubieboard looks nice, this is the full raspberrypi build process, if you can install LAMP thats the heaviest things you need, other than that there is git, a couple of php libraries and emoncms. http://emoncms.org/site/docs/raspberrypibuild
