I bought a new computer (iMac) but I have many problems now with arduino (that didn't occur before) to upload
When I want to upload me sketch to the GLCD, it seems that my FTDI cable is not under EXTRA -> SERIAL PORT -> ...
anyone?
my system:
iMac OS 10.7
Arduino version 1.0.5
Re: Problem to upload my sketches
Did you download and install the drivers for your ftdi programmer? Did you reboot?
Re: Problem to upload my sketches
I downloaded a driver and install it, maybe it was the wrong one, where do I find the drivers, I will retry
Re: Problem to upload my sketches
Well, it depends on the type of ftdi programmer you are using ... Did you buy it on the oem shop? If not, do you have a link?
Re: Problem to upload my sketches
Yes a bought one in the oem shop
Re: Problem to upload my sketches
Ok, then you need to download the drivers from this page:
http://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/Pages/USBtoUARTBridgeVCPDrivers.aspx
install them and reboot.
If it still doesn't work and you are using a usb hub, try to connect the programmer directly to the ports in tha back of the iMac
Re: Problem to upload my sketches
Ok thanks, it works!
it was the wrong driver after all...
the only problem I have now is that there is an error when I want to upload a sketch to the remote temperature... To the GLCD is not a problem anymore. I selected the UNO board, do I need power (2 batteries) for uploading?
-->problem resolved: The batteries were empty
