I have the standard emontx enclosure here. I can't figure out how to fit my AA batteries inside. There isn't much room for them. I can get them inside with the two metal clip but I have to push quite hard to insert them. I don't know how it's been done on the boxed emontx picture on the website (although the plastic does look a bit bent). Not only that but even with the two clips and the batteries hardly fitting I still need to add another clip the other end to connect + with - between the two batteries.
Does anyone have a clean solution to get board and batteries together nicely in this box? I'm interested.
I though about cutting the plactic separation maybe. Or another idea is to use AAA batteries (which fit very nicely but less Ah obviously).
Re: Emontx enclosure - How do you fit the AA batteries?
I think that the short answer is that they don't fit!
It looks as though the enclosures were intended for a PP3 - 9V battery, ie with both connections on the same side, and it's extremely tight to fit 2 x AA batteries in there. As you have already noticed, you can see the case bulging in the photo top left.
I cut a small length of stainless steel plate, bent the two edges up slightly, and hot glued it to the plastic case, to provide a connection between the + & - of the AA batteries.
Works, but again it distorts the case.

Hi. I managed to fit two AA batteries in my TX box. I admit I had to push a bit hard.
I connected the + and - with a folded piece of tin foil.
