This might be a silly question, but both RFM2Pi and RFM12Pi are used.
Did Martin introduced a typo when releasing the first RFM(1)2Pi and then sticked to that name ?
(I'm reworking the python gateway. Good time to rename classes correctly.)

Originally I named it RFM-2-Pi, but then noticed variations like the one you mention, probably just inertia kicking in and using the RFM12 Pi instead.
The idea was 'RFM12B - to - Raspberry Pi' board
