What's the current status of this? Is it still recommended?
I notice that it seems to have vanished from the shop, and when I went to start building mine I noticed that the build guide seems rather out of date, with missing images etc.
Have I bought a pup?

Re: Open Kontrol Gateway
Hi Paul,
I can't really offer you much aside from saying that I ordered one from the shop just before Christmas with a view to using it to link to the web. Shortly afterwards I was told that the shop didn't have any and that it wasn't clear when they would be getting some in. I was given the option of cancelling but decided to buy the Nanode SMD instead.
I hate to suggest it, but you could be disadvantaged and may have a bit of a struggle ahead.
Re: Open Kontrol Gateway
Anyone wanna buy an OKG ;-)
Maybe I'll go down the Pi route instead.

Re: Open Kontrol Gateway
Paul,
This is still available: http://openmicros.org/index.php/articles/92-ciseco-product-documentation...
And the reset mod is still on this site.
Re: Open Kontrol Gateway
Robert, I'm worried by the broken/missing images in the assembler instructions. Perhaps they illustrate something important.
Re: Open Kontrol Gateway
I can't spot which instructions are missing the images - URL?
I assembled one (with Wiznet module) a few months ago, it's still here waiting for me to find time to box it. The only slight snag I hit was I needed an extra 2-pin header and jumper to power it via the programmer whilst testing. Apart from that, and the two resistors that need to be crossed, it's all pretty obvious. I used a straight header for the programmer as I won't be using the supplied case - it is going in a waterproof box outdoors, by reason of the house it's going into (not mine!) having 2 ft thick stone and rubble walls that are a bit of a problem for RF, and the emonTx is in an outbuilding.
