Hi to all
I'm a beginner with arduino environment (I program ATmega using codevision C compiler)
I have a problem with USB2UART bought with emonGLCD and emontx.
When I connect it to my computers (xp or win7) I can see only the blu led but no device is detected so I can't install any driver
I tried to install driver from the silab driver page but nothing happens (it means no virtual-com nor other driver appear on the device_manager )
do you think it is broken? how can I check it step by step?
can I use another way to upload code into my emonGLCD and emontx
I have: a working stk500 usb programmer for ATMEL/ arduino2009/
thanks in advance for any support
alessandro

Re: FTDI USB2UART problem
Test with another cable as well, mine was glitchy.
Re: FTDI USB2UART problem
We have had an issue with a few USB programmers. We are now testing them ourselves prior to sending them out. We will be taking this up with the factory. please could you email me if you have bought a faulty adapter and would like a replacement.
Very sorry about this.
Re: FTDI USB2UART problem
Glyn: It seems as if the one I got is fine, just the USB cable was bad. I bent the legs of the USB female connector a bit, and now it's working a lot better.
Re: FTDI USB2UART problem
Thanks for the feedback, I'll pass this on to the manufacturer.
