Apologies if this has been asked before. For those of you using I2C based sensors with OpenEnergyMonitor, what are you using for the node hardware? Is it better to hack the EmonTH, with its onboard voltage regulation, or go for something more general purpose like a JeeNode? For context, I am thinking of using Emoncms to pass ambient light sensor data to OpenHAB via MQTT for Home Automation, as I already have a well developed OEM ecosystem. I have a couple of BH1750FVI sensor modules on order to play around with.
