Newbie question and i'm sure i'm doing something stupid.
Have built and set up emontx, nanoderf and emonglcd for a solar pv system and am sending data to Emoncms3. Have also created a dashboard which i can edit and view, dashbord is public and published, but if i click the run mode icon there is no dashboard.
And on the public list the dashboard is listed but is blank when selected.
Running a MAC, using Firefox to create dashboard
Re: Newbie question emoncms run mode
Given up with emoncms moved over to cosm, no dials but at least it works OK
Re: Newbie question emoncms run mode
Still looking at using emoncms.org, but cannot get dashboards to display except when logged in. Whenever i click the dial icon there is no dashboards shown or on the public listings
Any ideas.
Re: Newbie question emoncms run mode
I've just tried it, using the Config option on the dashboard itself, and it did it for me (except it published the wrong dashboard - the main one rather than the one I had marked!), then I redacted those changes using the icons on the main dashboard index page, and that worked too. But I'm on a Windows system (but also using Firefox).
I'm not sure that helps you though - I don't have a Mac (nor access to one).
Re: Newbie question emoncms run mode
I have the same issue. Running windows and tried different browsers.
Re: Newbie question emoncms run mode
I have tried deleting the dahboard and trying again. I've tried with Linux, MAC and XP. Firefox, Chrome and Safari so it must be something in my login or user id.
Re: Newbie question emoncms run mode
Or it just doesn't work on the new version of EmonCMS yet.

Re: Newbie question emoncms run mode
Not sure if this is the same bug as mad_dad detailed above but it was definitely a critical dashboard run bug that was causing a blank public dashboard page.
I missed updating the default.settings.php file to point to the new public dashboard location which is:
// Public profile functionality
$public_profile_enabled = TRUE;
$public_profile_controller = "dashboard";
$public_profile_action = "view";
rather than
// Public profile functionality
$public_profile_enabled = TRUE;
$public_profile_controller = "dashboard";
$public_profile_action = "run";
To get this feature working again, easiest way is to open your settings.php file if you have already created one and edit $public_profile_action to be equal to "view"
Re: Newbie question emoncms run mode
Solved. My problem seems to be with my user account. I have created a new emoncms.org login account and all is fine now.
