Jessie & GPIO Pin 17

For some strange reason I can no longer use GPIO Pin 17 via Openhab after upgrading to the OEM image of Jessie. The GPIO PIN works with a fresh image of Jessie and just Openhab loaded so it must be something to do with the customisations in the EMONPI image or the copy of Samba and 1Wire I've added in.

Can anyone suggest how to troubleshoot what's holding on to GPIO PIN 17?

This seems to be a function of the 22nd Dec EMONPI image so I have posted on the relevant thread. The standard full Jessie Image and also Jessie Minibian don't have this problem.
