different api keys local and online?

hallo, if i log into emoncms locally(192.168.1...........)  i have a different api keys then when i log from outsise(www.emoncms.org) .

can you explayn me the reason ?

Also the dashboards are separated and even the feeds seems different .... so i really do not understand the connections, hope you can help...

Hi Paolo,

Think of the api keys as if they were keys to the locks on the doors of the houses in your neighborhood. How secure would your neighborhood be if everyone's key could unlock the doors on everyone else's house?

The version of emoncms at emoncms.org (8.3.5) is currently behind the current version (9). That's why they appear different.
