Hi All,
I love this open energy project. I've been using this since the first version of EmonTx and I now have my rental building, my home, and most of my family's places hooked up with this. I had a few thoughts..
The overall goal of all this is to allow measurement and awareness of energy use, eventually leading to reduction. A social aspect would really help. Has anyone used a Jawbone Up (I assume fitbit works the same). You can invite people to your team to share data and compare. This would be incredibly useful here. Most people don't have any idea of average usage per person. Plus it varies dramatically by country and climate. But allowing people to join and see their family/friends/trusted people would take this to the next level. Perhaps even developing a energy use/per person index that is shared daily.
Has anyone read the book Nudge? Some power companies are putting 'happy face', neutral face or negative face smiles on peoples power bills allowing them to compare their power usage against their peers.
I realize this site is mostly about the technology of monitoring, but I think designing such a module would be quite popular.
Thoughts?

In Visualization menu, you have a "Embed in your website" code, past it on your social platform.
