Whenever I add "Allow Positive" to a feed on my local low write EMONCMS, all the feeds freeze.
if I choose a spare input, and then add a feed, Allow Positive and log to feed, that feed freezes.
Is there anyway this can be fixed?

Exactly the same bug with MAX and MIN feed at 8.5 standard edition.

The Max and Min issue should now be fixed see: http://openenergymonitor.org/emon/node/10756. Testing allow positive here on my emonpi installation of the low-write emoncms branch seems to work ok. Are you using the new nodes module or the inputs module?

I updated using
cd /var/www/emoncms
followed by
git pull
It said from memory that 7 files have been added, 8 have been deleted and 4 have changed
However still adding "Allow Positive" to an input freezes all of them on the inputs page and the only option is to delete the input as clicking the edit button is ignored
Am I missing something?
