I just set up a test emoncms server in a virtual debian machine, and it seems like I need to create an account to use it, but whenever I go to create an account in my browser I get a page that asks me to enter a username 4-30 characters in length, but no textbox to enter it into, and no 'ok' button to press when I would finish entering my username. I get this problem using both Chromium and Firefox on my Debian VM and my Ubuntu host. What can I do?

Re: Can't create new account on own emoncms server
I'm having the same problem, also in a vm running Debian. The register user page looks like this:
Re: Can't create new account on own emoncms server
OK, I can't read directions.
"Or if you are new enter a username and password above and click register"
However, just note that the close X in the message above does nothing.
Re: Can't create new account on own emoncms server
Yeah, I didn't bother reading it either, I'm just so used to being taken to a separate page for registering, being asked for a password twice, etc. I guess you know what they say about when one assumes.....
