There's actually quite a few of these things out there although its great to see a company like Tesla getting involved. Might shake up the pricing a bit.

If you check out the Navitron PV forum there's been quite a lot of discussion about this. Also solutions for using electric vehicles as your house battery backup. I think someone has his Nissan Leaf already doing this.
