Dear All:
Is there available any information on how to calculate the resources of the Server required in reference to the number of users, inputs, feeds, etc that the emoncms3 can manage?
I wonder if I could have 10,000 users sending data to the Emoncms3 and how do I calculate the requirements of the system to manage this amount of users.
PS: I noticed the emonBase randomly stops to receive the information from the emonTx ... this is very annoying and I have no idea where to start to find out how to solve this problem.
I have a second emonBase running with a 7-seg display but not connected to Internet and this unit receives fantastic.
Both units using the same setting of the RFM12 (node and group).
I am using nanode RF, it can run perfect for about 12 hours sending data to the Emoncms3, but suddenly and randomly it stops the reception...
Reseting the nanode restores all the normal functions .
Can you give me some idea where to start or how to prevent this malfunction to stop the system?
Re: Emoncms3 - Database capacity/emonBase stops reception
Hello Nejemia, yes calculating the server load per user is an ongoing item of development there are a few features so far such as logging the number of requests and data posts, this is likely to be proportional to bandwidth. The user feeds size is also calculated. Did you see the statistics module? Its a rough implementation at the moment.
Not sure about the emonTx stopping, are the node id's on both nanodes different?
