Hi,
I have an a series of sensors and the like, base on Ciseco XRF/SRF radios in my house. This includes door sensors, temp, etc but also a EmonTXv3, all of which are beaming data to emoncms via Node-Red. All works well. Remembered the other day that I have a currently unused emonGLCD too, so thought I'd add that into the mix so I can glean some basic info, without needing to grab my phone/iPad/laptop.
All good, however am slightly confused as to where I can swap in the XRF instead of the rfm12b. I presume I just need to know the appropriate pinouts for the rfm12b and what they connect to on the GLCD board, but when I look at the schematic, i kind of get lost. I did wonder if I could use the Jee port (or some of the other available headers) on the board for this, but as I understand it the GLCD uses all of the standard outputs, so wasn't sure if this will work or not.
Thanks
Dan
Re: EmonGLCD with Alternative Radio
Hello, I see You are using xrf sensors together with emoncms. I also have a few sensors for temperature reading and door sensors\ motion sensors. I was curious to know how to send this data to emoncms (i have two separate raspberry pi, one acts as an emonbase and one collects data from xrf sensors with a sliceofpiserial module.) what i need is the code and a very NOOB guide to help me.
Thanks You.
Asher
Re: EmonGLCD with Alternative Radio
Have a look at OpenKontrol Gateway. That can use both XRF & RFM12B, so might give you a lead. At one time, OKG was used as an emonBase (and fitted with a RFM12B radio module and Wiznet Ethernet module) to receive radio messages from the emonTx and forward them to emoncms.org.
