This is probably a very stupid question but I have installed the CT clips from a standard emonTX V3 and sending data using a Raspberry Pi running emonHub. I have a 9V power adapter and the voltage appears to be coming through fine.
I have hooked up the CT clips as best I could but as it's an old house I have only limited access to the back of my meter box cabling. I seem to be getting voltage readings through fine, but the only problem is that they are both (mains and solar) coming through as negative numbers.
Is there any way I can make them into positives for graphing?
Thanks
Chris
Re: Newbie question: All values are negative
Yes, turn the CTs around on their cables, or (if possible) reverse the phase of the AC adapter, or multiply by -1 in the feeds in emonCMS.
(The second time this has been asked in as many hours!)
Re: Newbie question: All values are negative
Cool, thanks. I missed the other post.
As it was almost impossible to get behind the board and get the CTs on, I've gone with the x -1 option. Worked perfectly.
Thanks for you help.
