Hi,
I stumbled onto you guys for I want to monitor those two things, temperature and humidity of my Humidor. I want to see a graph (locally is fine) and it would be perfect if I could get an email for example if humidity is too low.
Now I have put two things in my Basket, if you guys could tell me if with that Hardware I can archieve what i want. preferably without too much hassle :-)
emonTH - Temperature & Humidity Node
Case: emonTH Case
Sensor: DTH22 - Temperature & Humdity
Radio: 868Mhz RFM12B (Europe Only)
AND
emonBase - Raspberry Pi web-connected base-station
RaspberryPi RF add-on: RFM12Pi - 868MHz
Raspberry Pi: Raspberry Pi Model B+
Pre-build SD Card: Pre-Loaded microSD Card
Enclosure: Raspberry Pi Model B+ Case

Is that what I need ? I work with linux since 1993 and have another raspberry for XBMC, but im totally new to this monitoring/sensors stuff.
Thanks alot for helping !

Re: Monitoring Temp and Humidty of my Humidor - those the right parts ?
If all you want to measure is the temperature and humidity then that should work.
The monitor is just a daemon process that records the data from the module(s) - temp/humidity. You can have more than one monitor - theres a limit of 32 i think.
Majority of people here are tracking their electricity use - with http://shop.openenergymonitor.com/emontx-v3-electricity-monitoring-transmitter-unit/
All the data gets dumped into various databases (in memory / file / mysql) depending on the data type(s)
give it 10 mins and you'll know it all ;-)
